Several Information Science personnel have been re-elected or newly elected to form part of the Association for Information Science & Technology (ASIST&T) association, the leading international Information Science association.

Prof. Ina Fourie, Head of Department, has been re-elected as Treasurer and a member of the ASIS&T Board and Executive for 2022-2025.

Prof. Marlene Holmner has been reappointed as an officer for the African Chapter of ASIS&T in the Role of Recruitment. This is her third year serving as an officer in this chapter.

Dr. Liezl Ball has been appointed as the membership officer for the Special Interest Group (SIG) for Information Ethics and Policy (IEP) in ASIS&T.

Mrs Naailah Parbhoo-Ebrahim has been elected an officer for ASIS&T SIG III in the position of International Paper Contest Jury.
