Prof Ina Fourie, Head of the Department of Information Science, participated in the ISIC2022 (Information Seeking in Context - The Information Behaviour) conference that was held in Berlin from 26 - 29 September 2022.

She co-chaired the Doctoral Workshop with Dr Lynn Silipigni Connaway, the Executive Director for Research, OCLC Research. The ISIC conference is dedicated to the academic contribution of Information Behaviour.

At the closing of the conference her contributions to the ISIC Steering Committee and ISIC conferences were acknowledged. After 6 years she is stepping down from the ISIC Steering Committee. She was the secretary from 2016 - 2020 and vice chair from 2020 - 2022. On Friday, 30 October 2022, Prof Fourie participated in the European Region meeting of the iSchools Organisation where she represented the School of Information Technology.
