Isak de Villiers, Dave Ka (both junior research officers) and Annique Smith (lecturer and package coordinator of Multimedia Studies) from the Department of Information Science published an article in Innovate Issue 17 2022.

Innovate is an annual publication of the University of Pretoria’s Faculty of Engineering, Built Environment and Information Technology.

The article is titled Training the next generation of XR developers. The Multimedia sub-discipline places specific focus on XR (eXtended Reality) design and development since 2016 in their honours programme. The sub-discipline also has a VRI (virtual reality and interaction) lab which provides access to XR equipment, as well as a workspace for students in the honours programme, as well as other students in the School of Information Technology.
