Marlene Holmner, associate professor and package coordinator for Information Science, presented at the virtual 2022 Research Indaba on 30 March 2022.

The Research Indaba was hosted by the Department of Information Studies at the University of Zululand with the theme of “Trends and future of LIS Education and Research”. The aim of the research indaba is to “cultivate to a culture of relevant and meaningful research, while also empowering supervision relationships among postgraduate students and supervisors in the department.”

Professor Holmner’s presentation titled “Information Ethics and the 4^th Industrial Revolution” sought to emphasise the essence of upholding ethics in research amid technological developments.
