SIT Prize Giving for 2020

The annual School of Information Technology (SIT) Prize Giving took place on 2 June 2021 during an online and live presentation. The SIT is made up of the Informatics, Computer Science and Information Science departments.

The following students were awarded prizes from the Information Science department:

Information Science

  • Best First Year BIS (Information Science) student: Mr Tokollo Bapela (86.3%)
  • Best Second Year BIS (Information Science) student: Ms Andri de Witt (82.7%)
  • Best Third Year BIS (Information Science) student: Mr Jaso Dannhauser (90.5%)
  • Best Honours BIS (Information Science) student: Ms Gabriella Rossi (85.3%)

Publishing

  • Best First Year BIS (Publishing) student: Ms Dahlia van Zyl (85.97%)
  • Best Second Year BIS (Publishing) student: Ms Savannah Harvett (80.88%)
  • Best Third Year BIS (Publishing) student: Ms Shante Smit (83.25%)
  • Overall Best BIS (Publishing) student: Ms Michaela Oosthuizen (82%)
  • Best Honours BIS (Publishing) student: Ms Candice Robertson (87.25%)

Multimedia

  • Best First Year BIS (Multimedia) student: Mr Stewart Coetzee (85.7%)
  • Best Second Year BIS (Multimedia) student: Mr Daelin Campleman (80.3%)
  • Best Third Year BIS (Multimedia) student: Mr Jaedon Heger (81.4%)
  • Best Final Year Project: Mr Jaedon Heger & Mr Jonathan Bertram

The Department of Information Science wishes to congratulate the students for their exceptional performances during a year that will be remembered by the troubles and difficulties of the pandemic.
