Lecturer nominated for the Interim Coordinating Committee (ICG) of the new WCRP Home Regional Information for Society (RifS)

Willem Landman, a professor in our Department and the author of the monthly Seasonal Forecast Worx, has been appointed to the the Interim Coordinating Committee (ICG) of the new World Climate Research Programme (WCRP) Home Regional Information for Society (RifS). The ICG is set up to coordinate the preparation of a draft science plan, governance, and structure for RifS. Tis draft science plan, governance and structure is scheduled to be presented to the WCRP Joint Scientific Committee at their 42th meeting for 28 June-2 July 2021.
