Continuing Medical Training CC (CMT) presented 100 courses/conferences during the period 2000 to 2017. As CMT decided not to present any further courses, the Department of Family Medicine at the University of Pretoria decided to arrange courses in future, using the same principle as CMT whereby all the required CPD points can be earned by attending one four-day course per annum.

The CPD Unit Programme Director, Dr Martin Bac, and his team is busy developing an exciting programme in which the most relevant aspects of the clinical spectrum in general practice and primary care will be covered by Key Opinions Leaders in their fields of expertise.

As before, two similar courses will be presented this year: 16–19 August 2018 in Benoni and 25–28 October 2018 in Cape Town.
