The UP Department of Family Medicine is involved in patient care, teaching and research in Tshwane, Ekurhuleni, Mpumalanga and other provinces. We aim to practice coordinated care from a COPC approach. Our motto is High Touch–High Tech, meaning that we practice in a patient centered manner while making increasing use of ICT to develop ways of implementing Universal Health Care. We have many partners, including Public Health Medicine, other practitioners in health care, other related disciplines, Department of Health and private and not for profit organisations.
