MSc / Community Oriented Primary Care (COPC)

The Department of Family Medicine is excited to introduce the MSc specializing in Community Oriented Primary Care (COPC), a full research master’s programme designed to equip health professionals with advanced research skills and knowledge in COPC. This programme aims to address the pressing health challenges faced by communities and support the re-engineering of primary healthcare in South Africa. As part of this initiative, we invite supervisors from across the Faculty of Health Sciences who are interested in supervising students in this programme to complete the following link.

Postgraduate Diploma in Family Medicine

This is a programme for practicing medical practitioners. This programme was adapted substantially in 2013 to be in line with our learning philosophy and prepare doctors in primary care for a National Health Insurance (NHI).
