The sudden and tragic passing of Professor Christof (Christoffel Hendrik) Heyns on Sunday, 28 March 2021, is an enormous loss to his family, friends, UP Law, academia, and the global human rights movement. He will be truly missed by us and so many others across the world.

Professor Christof Heyns was the epitome of advocacy, dedication, humanity, inspiration, passion, teaching and trail-blazing transcending international borders.
