UP Law says goodbye to Dr Isolde de Villiers from the Department of Jurisprudence

On 4 November 2018 the Faculty of Law and in particular the Department of Jurisprudence at the University of Pretoria said goodbye to Dr Isolde de Villiers who has decided to pursue a post-doctoral fellowship at the University of the Free State as from February 2019.

Isolde joined academia as a tutor in the Department from 2004, as an academic associate in 2007 and as a temporary part-time junior lecturer in 2008.  Isolde was appointed as a lecturer in the Department of Jurisprudence (then known as the Department of Legal History, Comparative Law and Legal Philosophy) in February 2011.  She obtained her LLB cum laude in 2006, and an LLM degree in 2009.  She graduated with a Doctor of Laws degree in 2017.  Prior to her appointment in the Department she completed her articles at Bowman Gilfillan Attorneys in Cape Town.  

During his farewell speech, Dean André Boraine thanked Isolde for her years of service and dedication to UP Law and wished her well with her future endeavours.
