The annual South African Telecommunications, Networking and Applications Conference (SATNAC 2024) was held in Skukuza, Kruger National Park from 6-9 October 2024. One of our Dept's students, Marchant Fourie, won the Best Paper award entitled "Automated crocodile detection using deep learning and synthetic data", co-authored by Prof Herman Myburgh and Dr Allan de Freitas.
