The SAIMC control laboratory was unveiled by the Vice-Chancellor and Principal of the University of Pretoria, Prof Cheryl de la Rey, and the President of the Society for Automation, Instrumentation, Measurement and Control (SAIMC), Mr. Vinesh Maharaj, on 22 January 2014.
This laboratory, which is situated in Engineering 2 on the Hatfield campus, is used by both postgraduate students and undergraduate project students in the Control Group of the Department of Electrical, Electronic and Computer Engineering.
