Online applications for the 2025 academic year opened on 1 April 2025. It is very important to first verify the closing dates of the various study programmes to ensure you submit your application on time:
The following dates are applicable to undergraduate students for 2025:
Closing date for applications for Veterinary Science programmes
30 June 2025
Closing date for applications for all other programmes
10 February 2026
Classes commence for all students, especially for undergraduate and honours students

Using the online application system
To use the online application system, you will need internet access and an e-mail address that you access regularly. This is because once you submit your online application, the University of Pretoria will send your student number (EMPLID) to the provided e-mail address as confirmation of receipt. Remember to regularly monitor your e-mail account for important information communicated by the university.
