We need your help to inspire the scientists of tomorrow!

Cape Citizen Science, a project that enlists the help of the public to identify organisms that are killing some of the fynbos species in the Western Cape, has launched a crowd funding campaign to provide youth from a local township with an opportunity to spend a day learning and taking part in sampling activities at a nearby nature reserve.

Joey Hulbert is a PhD student in Plant Pathology from the Forestry and Agricultural Biotechnology Institute (FABI) at the University of Pretoria (UP). He is also an affiliate research student with the Department of Conservation Ecology and Entomology at Stellenbosch University. He leads Cape Citizen Science, which is supported by the DST-NRF Centre of Excellence in Tree Health Biotechnology, the Forestry and Agricultural Biotechnology Institute at UP, and Stellenbosch University.
