Professor Ina Fourie, Head of Department of Information Science, presented at Pearson South Africa’s virtual book launch of Navigating Information Literacy in a Digital World on 24 March 2022.

Prof Fourie is a co-author on the book alongside other current or past faculty members in the Department of Information Science, Prof. Theo Bothma, Dr. Erica Cosijn and Dr. Cecilia Penzhorn. It was first published in 2006 as a print book, and has been renewed and updated in 2021 as an e-book only.

During the virtual book launch, Prof. Fourie discussed the development of this title and how being information literate is no longer an optional skill; it is an essential skill to succeed and function in the 21^st century.
