Professor Jenna Hartel’s gift to Information Science enthusiasts

Posted on December 13, 2021

In October 2021 our Department Information Science, met with Professor Jenna Hartel, an associate professor of the University or Toronto, when she shared her inspirational ideas on teaching information science with us.

One of the things Professor Ina Fourie, head of the Department, mentioned when introducing Professor Jenna, was Marcia Bates "berrypicking techniques" – and here it is – Professor Jenna is sharing this gift with all Information Science enthusiasts.

Prof Jenna Hartel says:

“Here's a gift for all students (and educators/researchers, too) of Information Studies. It's a (fun) information-themed activity book, featuring a "berrypicking" maze; a crossword puzzle about our field's values; and a word search for "information" in 50 languages. There's short video about it at my YouTube channel, BIBBLEium, or here is a direct link to the document on my website."

"Professor Jenna, thank you for your generosity to the Information Science community. This is amazing. We wish you well and all of the best for this special time of the year.”
