Four members of staff; Prof Marlene Holmner; Head of the Department of Information Science, Prof Ina Fourie, Chair-Elect, iSchool Organization, Prof Beth le Roux and Anika Meyer from the Department of Information Technology, University of Pretoria attended the iconference where they participated in the Academic Program in Changchun, China which took place from 22 April - 26 April 2024.

In the third discussion, Prof Marlene Holmner; Ina Fourie; Abebe Rorissa; Daniel Alemneh; Sarah Kadu: Shana Ponelis deliberated on issues regarding Promoting the Ethical and Responsible Use of Artificial Intelligence Tools in Education.
