Dr Madely du Preez retired in 2018 as a senior lecturer from the University of South Africa (UNISA)
where she taught information organisation and retrieval related modules which included
cataloguing, classification, indexing, abstracting, thesaurus construction and database design.
Following her retirement she became a Research Fellow in the Department of Information Science
(Unisa). She is still involved at Unisa as an external marker. She also is a contract lecturer at the
University of Pretoria.
