Members of Editorial Advisory Boards

An Editorial Advisory Board of a journal consists of a group of people who are experts in the journal’s field. Quite a number of our staff members sit on Editorial Advisory Boards of national and international journals. They assist the editor/co-editors by reviewing submitted manuscripts, giving advice on journal policy and scope, identifying topics for special issues, attracting new authors and submissions and by promoting the journal to colleagues and peers.

Staff members are also involved in reviewing submitted articles for publication in other journals and book series. Through this involvement they gain valuable experience in scientific publishing which also enhances their knowledge of professional standards. Not only do they have access to the latest research, but they can also build up a network of scholars in their discipline.

Other Reviewing involvement

High-quality review panellists are appointed to serve on reviewing panels. The institution relies heavily upon the reviewers’ expert knowledge and experience to make unbiased and professional recommendations as to the eligibility and worthiness of a winner before they select the final winner.

  • Partnerships Division, Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council, Canada (reviewer for research grants)
  • The Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research (NWO)

  • WBCLA: West Bengal College Librarians' Association (honorary reviewer)
