Prof. Wilna Bean has been recognised for her exceptional teaching abilities by winning this year's teaching and learning award in the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering. Her students’ praise speaks volumes about her impact.

Professor Wilna Bean is a phenomenal lecturer and asset to the Industrial and Systems Engineering Department. She has an unmatched ability to gauge where students are struggling and easily finds unique and simplistic ways to explain complex concepts. She creates a safe and conducive learning environment where students feel motivated and supported to step out of their comfort zones and challenge themselves. Thank you, Prof. Bean, for your years of patience, understanding, and dedication.- Alexander Lymar (final year student)

Professor Bean has always been an enthusiastic lecturer, consistently inspiring students with her dedication and passion. I laugh thinking back at how she would smile before introducing a challenging problem, effortlessly turning it into something easily understandable and engaging for the entire class.- Adam Cokayne (final year student)

Prof Bean has definitely been one of the best lecturers I have ever had. I have had Prof Bean as a lecturer for two subjects thus far and the two things that stood out for me is her willingness to go the extra mile to ensure that everyone in the class understands the work as well as the passion with which she lectures. I remember walking into BLK confident that I would do well in her subject just because she was the lecturer. She is one of the most understanding lecturers I have had the privilege of being taught by and I hope that one day in the future our paths may cross again. - Wesley Pattison (final year student)

These testimonials underscore Prof Bean’s dedication to her students and her invaluable contributions to the department. Congratulations, Prof Bean, and thank you!
