On Thursday, 13 October 2022, the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering hosted their annual Industrial Engineering Prize Giving and Networking Function at Pure Café on the University of Pretoria’s Hatfield campus. The event is a celebration of the academic achievements of the top three first-, second- and third-year Industrial Engineering (IE) students of 2021.

Prizes were awarded in the following categories:

1.  Best First-year IE student of 2021 – Prizes sponsored by Magna BC

2.  Best Second-year IE student of 2021 – Prizes sponsored by Fourier-E

3.  Best Third-year IE student of 2021 – Prizes sponsored by iPlan

In the first category, Best 1^st Year Industrial Engineering Student, Ms Anina Loots was the winner. The 2^nd prize winner was Ms Doné Joubert.

In the second category, Best 2^nd Year Industrial Engineering Student, Mr Christiaan van der Merwe was the winner. The 2^nd and 3^rd prize winners were respectively Mr Hendré van Zyl and Ms Maryke Schoeman.

In the third category, Best 3^rd Year Industrial Engineering Student, Ms Cayla Janse van Rensburg was the winner. The 2^nd and 3^rd prize winners were respectively Mr Michael Makris and Ms Christelle Venter.

Congratulations to all these diligent students for their outstanding academic achievements!
