2021 IE Prize Giving

On Thursday, 9 September 2021, the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering hosted their annual Industrial Engineering prize giving function online via the Microsoft Teams platform. This event is a celebration of the academic achievements of the top three first-, second- and third-year Industrial Engineering (IE) students of 2020.

Prizes were awarded in the following categories:

1.  Best First-year IE student of 2020– Prizes sponsored by Magna BC

2.  Best Second-year IE student of 2020 – Prizes sponsored by Fourier-E

3.  Best Third-year IE student of 2020 – Prizes sponsored by iPlan

In the first category, Best 1st Year Industrial Engineering Student, Mr Christiaan van der Merwe was the winner. The 2nd and 3rd prize winners were respectively Ms Maryke Schoeman and Mr Byron Meij.

In the second category, Best 2nd Year Industrial Engineering Student, Mr Michael Makris was the winner. The 2nd and 3rd prize winners were respectively Ms Cayla Janse van Rensburg and Mr Wicus Robbertse.

In the third category, Best 3rd Year Industrial Engineering Student, Ms Sara Mc Inerney was the winner. The 2nd and 3rd prize winners were respectively Ms Kavisha Narainsamy and Ms Shannon Strydom.

Congratulations to all these diligent students for their outstanding academic achievements!
