This programme serves the entire faculty of Engineering, Built Environment and Information Technology (EBIT) by welcoming students from all disciplines to participate in project-based learning.
VIP is a multidisciplinary, vertically integrated, project-based learning initiative developed by the Georgia Institute of Technology (
http://consortium.vip.gatech.edu/). In collaboration with this top-ranking institution, the University of Pretoria aims to grow the programme to a point where there are many teams from various faculties providing thousands of students opportunities to learn-by-doing. Our two pilot teams, Campus Mobility and Wispeco Aluminium, are expected to set the standard this semester.
