Mrs Ilse Doyer

Ilse Doyer is a Lecturer in the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering and has vast industry experience. Her research is primarily on operations improvement, with a particular interest in continuous improvement (CI) / Lean, as well as the Theory of Constraints. She currently working towards a PhD in Operations Improvement. Her undergraduate teaching focus is on Productivity, as well as the professional development of students in Professional and Technical Communication. llse also enjoys supervising final year and post graduate students and is especially passionate about connecting talented students with the right industry environment.

 

Research interests

Ilse’s recent and current research focuses on:

  • Scoping operations improvement

  • Maturity models

  • Hybrid work productivity

  • Productivity in schools

  • Engineering education.
