Posted on March 28, 2012

That is exactly the reason for the establishment of the Tuks Human Capital Alumni Association in 2011. The Association was established by alumni of the Department of Human Resource Management who are passionate about the human resource profession and wish to make a contribution to the valuable role it can play in organisations.

The Association comprises of four main portfolios:

  • The research portfolio that aims to serve as a platform for professionals to gain access to research and information, as well as to initiate research based on specific needs. This stream will also contribute to the Department of Human Resource Management’s ability to remain focused on business needs by covering relevant trends and topical issues.

  • The coaching portfolio aims to contribute to the development of the profession by building capacity of new as well as existing human capital professionals through a credible coaching network.

  • The talent portfolio aims to supply professionals with new opportunities in the market, as well as to assist young professionals in entering the market after the completion of their studies.

  • The professionalisation portfolio aims to establish the Association amongst Tuks alumni as a recognised and respected association that would be worthy for support and affiliation. It will also strive to further the professional development of all its members, both in attitude and ability.
