MCom specialising in Human Resource Management (course work) (07250147)
Admission to the programme is subject to the supervisory capacity and/or research projects in the field of specialisation within the DHRM. The number of applicants admitted to the programme is limited.
 
Admission Requirements:
  • A BCom Honours Human Resource Management (HRM) or Labour Relations Management (LAM) (or equivalent) degree (NQF level 8)
  • At least 65% average or above overall for all Honours modules (NQF level 8)
  • At least 65% average or above for the Research module/s and Research Report on honours level (NQF level 8)
  • Successfully completed a Labour Relations module (for example LAM 701 / LAM 702) or equivalent module with an average of at least 65% or above on honours level (NQF level 8)
 
 
MPhil specialising in Human Resource Management (course work) (07255263)
Admission to the programme is subject to supervisory capacity/and or research projects in the field of specialisation in the DHRM. The number of applicants admitted to the programme is limited.
 
Admission requirements:
  • A BA Honours, BSoc.Sc Honours or BAdmin Honours degree within the field of Human Resource Management or Labour Relations Management (or equivalent) (NQF level 8)
  • At least 65% average or above overall for all honours modules (NQF level 8)
  • At least 65% average or above for the Research module/s and Research Report on honours level (NQF level 8)
  • Successfully completed a Labour Relations module (for example LAM 701 / LAM 702) or equivalent module on honours level (NQF level 8)
 
 
MCom in Industrial Psychology (course work) (07250148)
Admission to the programme is subject to the supervisory capacity of research projects and internships in the field of industrial psychology. The number of applicants admitted to the programme is limited. Take note, from 2025 onwards, the HPCSA prescribed that Higher Education Institutions link internships to the degree programme.
 
Admission Requirements:
  • BCom Honours Industrial and Organisational Psychology degree (NQF level 8) (or equivalent) completed (or to be completed by end of the current academic year)
  • At least 65% average or above overall for all Honours modules (NQF level 8)
  • At least 65% average or above for the Research module/s and Research Report at honours level (NQF level 8).
  • Successfully completed a Psychometrics academic module at undergraduate and honours level with an average of at least 65% or above (NQF level 8).
