Predominantly below normal rainfall totals are expected during the forecast period for the summer rainfall region. Below normal rainfall is expected for the winter rainfall region in the South and South West for autumn and early winter. For both these regions, the forecast skill is low during the forecast period.
Above normal maximum temperatures over the entire region are highly likely during the forecast period.
The UP model is predicting a moderate (>1°C) El Niño event to continue during the summer period.
