Seasonal Forecast Worx for November 2025

Posted on November 14, 2025

The seasonal climate forecast, based on the North American Multi-Model Ensemble (NMME), predicts that weak La Niña/ENSO-neutral conditions are likely to persist in the Niño3.4 region throughout the austral summer (NDJ to AMJ). For the summer rainfall region south of 15°S, above-normal seasonal rainfall totals are increasingly probable towards early and mid-summer, while the Southwest (SW) Cape is expected to see below-normal rainfall during autumn. In terms of average maximum temperatures, below-normal temperatures are expected towards mid-summer in the anticipation of a wetter season, but temperatures are likely to be above-normal over the southern coastal areas and the SW Cape.
