Two honours students, Bronwyn Harris (left) and Emily Barnes (right) recently represented the department and presented their honours research at the Society of South African Geographers (SSAG) student conference at the University of the Free State's QwaQwa campus, 6-7 October 2023.
Both student's presentations were well received and Bronwyn Harris, was awarded the 1st prize honours presenter award for her presentation on; "Youth Activism: The fight against climate change in Gauteng", this forms part of her honours research under the supervision of Dr. JJ Gregory.
