Bhavani Brijlal, who graduated with her BScHons Meteorology this year, was recently awarded the SSAG Outstanding Honours Research Award for 2023 from the Society of South African Geographers. She received the award for her Honours project, completed in 2022, entitled Surface energetics of two types of ridging South Atlantic Ocean anticyclones. Her project was completed under the supervision of Professor Thando Ndarana.
