Above-normal rainfall is expected over the western winter rainfall region until early spring, followed by below normal rainfall until the end of the forecast period. Parts of the summer rainfall area may expect above-normal winter rain. Also, above-normal rainfall is expected over the larger part of the summer rainfall region during spring.

Enhanced likelihoods of above-normal maximum temperatures over almost the entire region are expected during the forecast period. Below-normal maximum temperatures only likely over the southern coastal and southwestern Cape during mid winter.
