Q: Job title and in which department/research entity do you work?
A: Professor and Head of Department of Geography, Geoinformatics and Meteorology 

Q: What has been the highlight of your career?
A: Too many to choose one that stands out. I make sure that there is something, however small, to celebrate at the end of each year.

Q: What inspires you?
A: Making a difference in the lives of other people and thereby making the world a better place

Q: What challenges have you experienced in your career?
A: Many! But I like to see them as opportunities ;-)

Q: What message do you have for the youth of South Africa? 
A: Hang in there. If each of you gives your best, then the future will be a better place than today.
