Posted on June 15, 2021

The June Seasonal Forecast Worx predicts that current ENSO-neutral conditions may develop into a weak La Niña event by the end of the year – the consensus is mostly for a continuation of neutral conditions. There are enhanced probabilities that parts of the southwestern Cape may be wet during late winter. The Spring season is likely to generally be on the dry side. There are also enhanced probabilities for warmer than average conditions over the larger part of the region, except over the southwestern and southern coastal parts.
