The UP model predicts weak La Niña conditions for summer, but ENSO neutral conditions towards autumn. Above normal rainfall outcomes are expected over the larger part of the forecast region during mid and late summer. Cooler maximum temperatures, in association with the increased likelihood of a wet mid and late summer season, are likely over parts of the region.
