On Saturday 26 October staff and students from our department took part in the Mamelodi information day. This event, held on the Mamelodi campus, provided students from the physical sciences extended program the opportunity to hear about the transition into degrees at any of the university's other campuses. Dr Ndarana, Mr van der Merwe, and Dr Hansen spoke to the students about the degrees on offer in our department, what modules they would have to take, what research they could potentially do, as well as the various job opportunities open to them once they graduated. We also had an information booth, where these students could ask questions not covered in our talks and speak to students currently enrolled in any of our degrees. We look forward to seeing some familiar faces in 2020!
