The 35th annual conference of the Society for Atmospheric Sciences (SASAS) was held in Vanderbijlpark from 8-9 October. Two postgraduate students from the Department of Geography Geoinformatics and Meteorology received prizes at this event. Moeletji Masango, a BSc (Hons) Meteorlogy students received the prize for the best student presentation while Elizabeth Webster, who presented her MSc results, received the prize for the overall best presentation. We congratulate Elizabeth and Moeletji on their achievements!
