The Faculty of Natural and Agricultural Sciences Student Achievers event was held 30 May. Five of our own students were among the recipients.

• The Johan and Sophy van Heerden Floating Trophy was awarded to Tsholanang Rammopo as the student who achieved the highest average mark for Meteorology modules at second- and third-year level.
• Aimee Sarafini was awarded the GGM Prize as the best honours student in Meteorology.
• Ethanne Soar was awarded the GGM Prize for the best honours student in Geography/Environmental Analysis and Management.
• Lauren Pijper, our current academic intern, was awarded the AfriGIS Prize for the best honours project in Geoinformatics, as well as the AfriGIS Prize for the best student in BScHons Geoinformatics.
• Brenda-Ai Maina was awarded the CONSAS Prize as the best BSc Geoinformatics graduate.
