The latest seasonal forecast for February continues to predict a weak El Niño. Enhanced probabilities for favourable rainfall outcomes are predicted over the southern and southwestern Cape areas towards the end of the forecast period. Mainly cool maximum temperatures are predicted over the larger part of the SADC region and will be replaced by predominantly high maximum temperatures (for that time of the year) towards the end of the forecast period.For more on the seasonal forecast click here.
