Lumbani Tshotetsi is a lecturer working in the Department of Family Medicine under the Clinical Associate Program since 2012. She qualified as a clinical associate who holds a Diploma in clinical medicine, BSc Health Science Education, post graduate Diploma in Public Health, MSc Epidemiology and is a PhD candidate. Her interest is in maternal health and research. She is involved with international organisations and works with LOOOP, African virtual interprofessional education (AfriVIPE), and global association of clinical officer and physician associate (GACOPA). Her drive is to inspire, motivate and promote training of competent patient centred clinical associate/health care workers who are passionate in improving the public health of the communities that they serve. She has contributed to the training of health care professions on both local and international level. She is the president-elect for the International Academy of Physician Associate Educators (IAPAE), an organisation representing international clinical associate comparable.
