I completed my Bachelor of Science degree in 1997, my Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery in 2001 and Magister in Family Medicine in 2007 at the University of the Free State (UFS). I also completed a Management Development Programme in 2008, Assessment of Learning in Higher Education in 2009 and a Leadership and Professional Development Programme in 2015 at UFS. In 2023 I completed my Doctor of Business Administration in Higher Education Management at the University of Bath, United Kingdom. Prior to becoming the Head of Department at UP, I was the Head of Department: Family Medicine, University of the Free State (2011-2017), Head of the School of Clinical Medicine, University of the Free State (2017-2022) and the Dean: School of Medicine, Sefako Makgatho Health Sciences University (2022-2024)
