Dr Harry Hausler

Harry Hausler is a family physician, HIV clinician and preventive medicine specialist with more than 25 years of international public health experience implementing and evaluating tuberculosis (TB) and HIV programs. He has a Master of Public Health from Johns Hopkins University and a PhD from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. He worked in the Global TB Programme of the World Health Organization in Geneva in 1995 and was the National TB/HIV Technical Advisor in the South African Department of Health from 1996 to 2003. He is the CEO of TB HIV Care, a South African nonprofit organization whose vision is to be a leader in empowering communities to be healthy and free of TB and HIV. He is the Principal Investigator of four five-year CDC cooperative agreements for programmatic implementation and technical assistance for HIV and TB prevention, care, and treatment services for the general population, inmates in correctional facilities, priority populations and key populations (sex workers and people who use drugs) in South Africa.
