Dr Urvisha Bhoora is a Family Physician who leads the clinical oversight of the Community Oriented Substance Use Programme (COSUP) in Tshwane, South Africa. Dr Bhoora is responsible for ensuring the best standard of clinical care for vulnerable populations (e.g, substance users) within a resource poor setting. She supervises clinicians and advocates for the use of and capacitation of health care workers in the use of opioid agonist therapy in health facilities. Dr Bhoora supervises research and also contributes to under and post graduate harm reduction training.
