Dr Diedericks is a lecturer in the Department of Consumer and Food Sciences, University of Pretoria. She is also completed her PhD in Consumer Science Clothing Management. She obtained her Masters of Consumer Science: Clothing Management and her Bachelor of Consumer Science: Clothing Retail Management (cum laude) from the University of Pretoria in the Department of Consumer Science, before it merged with Food Science. She lectures in clothing construction, fashion history as well as textiles. 

Her PhD focused on the influence of personal values on store image and how it consequently influences store choice. Currently, her research focuses on the sensory aspects of clothing and textiles.
