UPOnline offers students multiple start dates throughout the year, providing flexibility to begin their studies when it suits them best.
Important information to take note of includes the following:
Application Deadlines:
The application deadline is two weeks before the module’s start date. Applications submitted after this deadline will be considered for the next intake.
Registration Period:
Registration opens four weeks before the session begins and closes one day prior to the module start date.
Payment Deadlines:
Start Dates:
The start date refers to the day your module will commence. UPOnline modules are offered multiple times per year, depending on the programme. Some programmes follow a six-intake schedule, while others follow a five-intake schedule. You can view the specific start dates for your programme on the programme information page, or these can be provided upon request.
Deregistration:
Without exception, students who do not meet payment deadlines will be deregistered on day 11 after the module’s start date. Requests to voluntarily deregister from a module will be accepted only up until the Monday of Week 7.
Module Duration:
Modules are offered in eight-week intervals. Short modules consist of seven weeks of teaching and one week of recess. Long modules span 16 weeks, with 14 weeks of teaching and two weeks of recess. A year-long module typically consists of six blocks, each with seven weeks of teaching and one week of recess in between.
General Information:
Students must register for each module by the registration deadline and adhere to payment and participation requirements until completion of the programme.
