In an incredible display of generosity and community support, UP RAG has donated half of the donations received from RAG of Hope Day 2025 to SNAPP, a vital initiative by the University of Pretoria's Department of Student Affairs (DSA).

SNAPP provides a basic food allowance to students from underprivileged or harsh family backgrounds who may have limited financial means or no support to fall back on. Students in need must formally apply to SNAPP each academic semester. By supporting this initiative, UP RAG is helping ensure that no student at UP goes hungry and is empowering those in need to focus on their studies without the worry of food insecurity.

The remaining donations from RAG of Hope Day 2025 will be distributed throughout the year to various charitable causes, including orphanages, disability homes, and rehabilitation centers. This will ensure that the spirit of giving continues to reach those in the community who need it the most, further solidifying UP RAG’s commitment to social responsibility and making a lasting impact.
