The Committee

The Executive Committee (EC) is the driving force behind UP RAG, comprising of elected members dedicated to executing the annual mandate. This mandate is determined collaboratively by the RAG Manager, Chairperson, and the EC.

To create a culture of giving, unity and service by empowering students to make meaningful impact through fundraising and community engagement initiatives.

A connected and compassionate student community that actively contributes to social transformation by reaching out, giving back and leading with purpose.

Who Are We?

We are  a dynamic team of student leaders committed to community upliftment, student engagement, and sustainable impact. As the driving force behind student-led community engagement at the University of Pretoria, we lead with purpose, compassion, and creativity.

Our committee is made up of passionate individuals from diverse backgrounds, united by a shared mission: to inspire social responsibility, create meaningful partnerships, and empower both students and communities through innovative fundraising and volunteerism.

More than just organisers, we are enablers of change — creating platforms for students to make a difference, build connections, and grow as leaders. From RAG of Hope Day to Mandela Week and everything in between, we strive to turn ideas into action and hope into reality.
