A day in the life at the University of Pretoria. 30 January 1990

On this "Day in the life of the University of Pretoria", three new research chairs were officially added to the Department of Electronic and Computer Engineering by the vice Chancellor and Rector, prof Danie Joubert.

These new specialised research fields included: the micro and millimetre wave studies under prof Wynand Louw; the signal processing chair managed by prof Hannes van Schalkwyk and the photonics chair under prof Wilhelm Leuschner.
