A day in the life at the University of Pretoria: 24 May 1957

On this "Day in the life of the University of Pretoria" the student newspaper , Die Perdeby reported on progress of the university's swimming pool building fund.

The article, featured above, explained that each student will receive a booklet filled with tickets. The newspaper urged student to sell all their tickets in order to meet the target of £7000. The male student who sold the most tickets could win £15. Female students who sold the most could win a £15 clothes voucher  from the Union shop. The student house who sold the most ticket could win £15. The paper reported that by 24 May 1957 the students in the day houses had already sold £42 worth of tickets.
