A day in the life at the University of Pretoria. 19 January 1980

On this "Day in the life of the University of Pretoria", students Karl Eldring and navigator Frank Linderman won the first leg of the provincial motor sport time trial.  

The student newspaper, Perdeby (now PDBY) reported that motor sport was becoming a popular past time at Tukkies. Despite the cost associated with the sport student members at the UP (University of Pretoria) Motor Sport club has doubled in the previous year. UP’s motor club was started in 1958.
